  • Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) helps people understand how relationships and life changes affect mood and wellbeing. When connections are strained, or during times of grief, role transitions, or conflict, distress often follows. IPT works by identifying these patterns and strengthening communication and problem-solving skills. It is particularly effective for depression, grief, and major life transitions.

  • CBT is a practical, skills-based approach that helps you recognise unhelpful thoughts, test them against evidence, and develop healthier patterns of behaviour. It provides tools to manage worry, reduce self-criticism, and create supportive routines. CBT is effective for anxiety, depression, stress, and breaking difficult habits.

  • EMDR helps the brain reprocess “stuck” traumatic memories so they become less overwhelming and easier to manage. In sessions, you revisit distressing experiences in a safe setting while using bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements or gentle taps. EMDR is well supported for PTSD and can also be helpful for anxiety, phobias, and other stress-related difficulties.

our Approach

We take a person-centred and evidence-based approach, tailoring therapy to the needs of each client. Our work integrates a range of evidence-based treatment modalities; including, Interpersonal Therapy (IP), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation Therapy (EDMR).

  • IFS views the mind as made up of “parts,” each with its own role - such as protectors, managers, or wounded parts. Therapy helps you approach these parts with curiosity and compassion, so they can work together instead of in conflict. This process fosters greater calm, self-acceptance, and freedom from entrenched patterns.

  • REBT is a pioneering form of CBT developed by Albert Ellis. It highlights how our beliefs - not just events - shape emotional and behavioural responses (ABC: Activating event, Belief, Consequence). In therapy, you learn to identify and challenge rigid or irrational beliefs, and replace them with balanced, more helpful alternatives. REBT is useful for anxiety, depression, stress, and self-esteem concerns.

  • EFT helps you recognise, understand, and work with emotions rather than avoiding them. In a safe, supportive setting, you learn to tune into feelings, soften long-held patterns, and build deeper connections with others. EFT is particularly helpful for relationship challenges, unresolved grief, and self-criticism.
